To book a routine appointment:
Routine appointments can be booked up to three weeks in advance.
Our Care Navigators will ask about your symptoms in order to book you in to see the most appropriate clinician. If you feel that you need to be seen as an emergency that day, a nurse or doctor will ring you back to discuss your problem first. If they cannot resolve your problem over the phone, they will book you an appointment to see either a doctor or an advanced nurse practitioner in the surgery.
Our Care Navigators, depending on your problem, may book you in to see an advanced nurse practitioner in the On Day Service, located at the Long Eaton Health Centre, Midland Street, Long Eaton. The On Day Service can see patients with acute conditions (e.g. chest infections, urinary tract infections, etc.) and will be able to prescribe as necessary.
There is always a doctor on call at the practice during surgery hours (8.00am to 6.30pm).
Local GP Practices are also working together to offer patients better access to appointments, in Ilkeston & Long Eaton, at a time which is more convenient to you. The Hub appointments are available at Ilkeston Hospital or Long Eaton Health Centre. Monday – Friday 6.00 – 8.00pm, Saturday and Sunday mornings and Bank Holidays
These are also booked through our reception.
Patients are requested to switch off mobile phones before a consultation to avoid interruption.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
